Family-Owned and Chicago-Built Since 2007
Horizon Restoration is a family-owned roofing and exterior contractor based at 7122 W Higgins Ave on Chicago’s Northwest Side. Since 2007 our crews have replaced and repaired roofs, siding, gutters, windows and doors for homeowners and businesses across Chicagoland — more than 2,400 completed projects so far.
The company was founded by Jacek “Jack” Ogorek and Pawel Palka. Both came to Chicago from Poland and spent years working in home restoration before opening a company of their own. Pawel is our general manager and reviews every inspection report and estimate that comes through the office. Jack is our production manager: he orders the materials and runs the installation crews.
Today a 13-person team of client consultants, office staff and service technicians carries every project from the first inspection to the final cleanup. Meet our team or see our past projects on the map.

- BBB A+ rating; BBB Accredited Business since 2015
- In-house crews trained on the systems they install
You can verify these credentials yourself: our CertainTeed certifications on CertainTeed’s contractor profile for Horizon Restoration, our GAF certification in GAF’s contractor directory, and our rating and accreditation on our Better Business Bureau profile.
Recognition. In March 2026, Yahoo Local’s guide to the best roofers in Chicago named Horizon Restoration the overall best Chicago roofing company after researching nearly 60 Chicago-area roofers. Forbes Home also lists Horizon Restoration among the 10 best roofers in Chicago (audited February 2024).
Documented Inspections, Written Scopes, No Pressure
A free, documented inspection
Every job starts with a free inspection. We photograph what we find and put our recommendation in writing, so you know exactly what you are paying for before you decide to move forward.
A straight answer
We tell you whether your home needs a repair, a replacement or nothing at all yet. If we find nothing wrong, we say so.
Storm damage, documented
After hail or wind, we document the damage with photos, measurements and a written report, and a Horizon representative can attend your adjuster’s inspection. Your insurance company decides what the policy covers.
Nothing starts until you are ready
We do not begin work until the scope is settled, the work has been explained and you have authorized us to proceed. Our in-house crews then install to manufacturer standards.
